A Year and 7 months later...

I figured with it being a new year that it was time to bring this back to life a little bit.  

The last time I wrote I was still recovering from having a large kidney stone.  I thought that was the end of my troubles for a while but it wasn't.  In June of last year I went to the hospital because my blood sugar levels were creeping back up and also I was having a horrible headache..Now I get a headaches a lot so I didn't think to much of it at all..but after 3 days of nothing touching this headache I figured I might as well get it checked out to be on the safe side.  A week or so before this my Urologist had scheduled another CT because he thought I might still have a smaller stone or 2 so when I went to the hospital this time I told them about my headaches but also about the CT and so they did the scan right then.  An hour or so later the Dr came into the room and said they were flying me out of our small town hospital to a larger one it seemed that my Kidney that had the stone in it in March had died and was gangrene and was starting to leak a poison into my system so a few hours later they flew me to a hospital 3 hrs from where I live and 2 days later they removed the kidney so now I have just the one but thankfully no dialysis needed yet but I do have to be a lot more careful with my health in general.  I kept meaning to come back here but never took the time till now.  I have got quite a bit of stitching done lately with the healing of my surgery and just taking life a little bit easier and focusing on the crafts I really enjoy.  I have also gotten into diamond painting as well which relaxes my mind so much.  I would like to try and post at least monthly here so I will leave you now with a picture of where my HAED is now and a finish from last year..

My finish above is The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery's Halloween Town.  It was such a fun one to do and I love most of their patterns.  I am hoping to get some finishes in 2018 as I got 0 done in 17 to many new starts lol.

Long overdue

After a long absence I am back with my stitching.  I had to put it down at the beginning of March due to some major health problems which are now better for the most part and I am able to happily stitch again.  I finished up page 1 of Andromeda earlier this month

And am well into page 2..

I have a few new starts calling out to me..not sure what to do really tho as I am still enjoying Andromeda..thinking about finishing page 2 and then maybe putting her aside for a little bit and working on something without so much purple lol.

New Year and HUGE New Start

Wow..I had no idea it had been so long since I last posted.  I read blogs daily but never think to post to my own but would love to change that and get more involved with the blogging world.  So with the New Year I started a few new projects but only have pictures of one so far..so  without further ado I present..Andromeda   

This is what she will look like when all finished..she is my first start on 18ct..The piece of fabric she is being done on is 3 ft by 6 ft..of course she wont be quite that big when finished..but not to far off from it..I am really enjoying her so far even if very slow going.

This is 3 weeks of progress on her..but have actually been on her for about 6 weeks..Will be taking another pic of her soon to show how much I have done..would like to post monthly updates on her as she grows.

I just had to post a pic of my very spoiled almost 7 year old Misty who looked too cute to ignore wrapped up in my sheets..

FINISH!!!

I am so excited right now!!  I have a finish finally lol..I finished my Love Thy Thread Stained Glass SAL that I started around June of last year..feels great to accomplish something so here it is =)

At some point soon I am going to fill it in with colors that match my living room..

I am excited to see how they look as I fill in..but for now it is time to start a Halloween SAL

August Update

Not a whole lot to share just a few pics really..First off my DH finished another page of his John Wayne

Then last year my kitty was given a bed from a friend that had to put his dog to sleep..she ignored it of course till the same friend got a new dog and we watched him for a day and he got in the bed so now of course the cat wants to use it too lol

Then she decided mom's lap is better than the bed so this is how we end up most nights then of course right after the pic was taken she bit me and ran,,she can be such a lap and bed kitty at times but when she has had enough she bites and runs more often than not she bites my feet which are bad to begin with from the diabetes.

Since my last blog post I started and finished the first part of The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery..A Very Merry Christmas Town

I will try and post a little more often but sometimes my health just isnt good enough for me to do anything but lay on the couch..I also got an exercise bike to try and get in better shape and that is when I really realized just how bad of shape I am in physically but I think if I slowly work at it I will get healthier in time..

Back again..

I had to put away my Pink Lightning for now I was just getting tired of all the dark colors but I am sure she will be coming out again soon.

 My health in the last few months has gotten some news not necessarily bad or good really..I've known I had diabetes for years now and the nerve pain that can go with it if not taken care of properly, what I didn't know but did suspect was that I have Fibromyalgia so been trying to learn how to deal with the pain that comes along with that.

I also started a new project that I will try and update on here monthly..the project I started is Save the Stitches..my very first and definitely not my last so will leave you with a pic of it and hope to be back soon..

March Update

This is the middle row of my dh..John Wayne all finished..he has now started working on the bottom half.

I was just looking at my Mini Pink Lightning progress between now and wow what a difference..this is my last update..

all I have left on this page is the Lightning to fill in which I am starting tonight..

February Updates

I'm so excited to be done with another page on my Love Thy Thread piece..I have found so many little hidden pictures in it as I go along..and have decided to fill this in with bright colors and beads when all done with the black.

My other half is done with another page on his John Wayne..he is now working on the other side of his face then will start the bottom row..

I'm going to leave off with a picture of my almost 6 yr old furbaby Misty showing off my new bedspread and the rose she stole from me.

February Wipocalypse

So February's question is..


How do you overcome that feeling that you’re in a rut with a particular project?

When I have this issue I usually take a break from that project and work on something else..maybe why I have so many WIP's.

John Wayne Page Finish

My DH doesn't have a blog so I am posting this here for him..This is John Wayne from Artecy.  My Other Half has been stitching for a few years now but this is by far his biggest project.

Stained Glass SAL

This is my Stained Glass SAL that started last year..unfortunately the SAL has ended as Love Thy Thread is no longer around but I am still doing a page a month.  This is the halfway point..being done on 14 ct..after I have all the black done I plan on going back and adding beads in the single stitches part..a really bright single stitch border and filling in all the blank spots with bright colors that match my living room.

January WIPocalypse

Hmm well it seems to be that time of year again..the first post of the year and the first Wipocalypse post in a few years for me.  I can't post any pictures of my projects just yet as I am waiting for a memory card for my new camera..will try to post a photo on my next update which should be around the 15th.
For the WIPocalypse we are supposed to introduce our projects and any goals we might have for the year..
My main projects for this year should be..Mini Pink Lightning from HAED, Maleficent from HAED, Mini Zodiac from HAED, Storytime Sampler from Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery and last but not least Stained Glass SAL from Love Thy Thread.  all of the projects listed are new except for the LTT SAL.
I may pick up some other projects in between.
Goals for the year are to finish my LTT SAL, keep up to date on the Storytime Sampler SAL and get some great progress on the other HAED's.

Must Have!!

This is such a must have for me..she looks great..she is Maleficent from Heaven and Earth and the designer is Annya Kai.  I will be kitting her up in April or May and i'm sure starting her right away lol.  Can't believe we are already so close to a new year and with it all the new starts and must haves.  With that being said..I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas to those who celebrate..and to everyone a Happy New Year 

I'm Back!!

WoW!  Once again I can't believe I have been gone nearly a year from blogging..I have been reading blogs daily still and stitching daily still just had no camera to take pictures with and still don't until the end of January..I also have not had any finishes but that is going to change next year for sure.  I will also be starting a new HAED next year on the first..well maybe more than one as I bought 7 charts in the HAED Cyber Monday sale although one of them was for my DH since I have gotten him into stitching..will have to post a picture of his project when I get my new camera.  So for now I will just leave you all with a pic of my new start for next year.

2 month update and a sort of finish

This is page 1 of Hannah Lynn - Mad Hatter from HAED completed..I know it is kind of blurry but it is late here and I just really wanted to post this..it took me exactly 2 months..very slow but still happy to have it going so well.

Mad Hatter Update

 This is my one month update on Mad Hatter (I think this will enlarge if clicked on).  I tried starting a new one on New Year's but I think I am too into this one to get into doing anything else so will keep on with this one for a while..am hoping to work on some of my other WIP's this year.

New Year!

Wow so I can't believe it has been nearly a year since I last posted here..I have been doing some stitching but no finishes..just a lot of new starts..I am hoping to remedy that in this new year with only 3 major starts.  I will be starting Hannah Lynn's - Alice from HAED as soon as I finish posting this.  Will also be stitching on a freebie dragon from HAED and my final start if I can keep to my plan is from The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery and it is the 2014 Once Upon a Time SAL. 
Other than my stitching I am hoping to keep a more orderly apartment..I suffer from major depression along with some other things and the clutter I had accumulated was not helping at all so slowly have been doing a clean out of things I no longer use or need. 
I also hope to be blogging more in the next year with at least 1 blog post a month..hopefully more often.  I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve and an even better 2014.

Heather SAL Update #2

Wooohooo all the black on page 1 is finished.  I started coloring in right after I took the pic and managed to get all of one of the pinks done during the Super Bowl last night..will be back next Monday with another update.

Curl Up With a Good Book

This is the 2nd SAL that I have been working on..this is about 9 days of progress.  I am enjoying this one so far.  It's hard to see but there is some off white stitched that I am hoping will pop once I get more colors around it.  I am putting this away for a week or so to go back to Heather.

HAED SAL

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while..with the passing of my mom and grandma and all the holidays it was a hard end of 2012..but here we are in 2013 and I have a new start with another HAED..well really 2 starts for 2 different SAL's.  The first one is the HAED BB SAL..Im stitching Heather for it and here is the first pic after a few days of work.

I hope to be back in a week or so with the 2nd HAED SAL that I am doing..not enough done yet to post a pic.
